A dedicated school is seeking an inspirational SEMH Teacher to join their vibrant primary provision. This challenging yet incredibly rewarding role involves cultivating therapeutic relationships with pupils and skillfully managing challenging behaviours, all whilst delivering a stimulating and accessible curriculum. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive learning environment where every child feels understood and supported, contributing to their academic and emotional growth on a long-term, daily supply, or permanent basis, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver highly engaging lessons specifically adapted for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Cultivate strong, positive therapeutic relationships that foster trust and promote emotional regulation amongst pupils.
* Implement effective and proactive strategies for managing a range of challenging behaviours within the classroom.
* Develop individualised learning plans, ensuring personalised progress and attainment for every student.
* Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of support staff and external professionals to provide holistic pupil care.
* Contribute to the creation of a consistently nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere where pupils thrive.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience working with primary-aged pupils exhibiting SEMH needs.
* An innate ability to build rapport and establish meaningful connections with vulnerable children is essential.
* You demonstrate exceptional resilience, patience, and a proactive approach to complex behaviour management.
* Excellent classroom management skills allow for a structured yet flexible learning environment.
* You are deeply committed to nurturing the social and emotional development of every child you teach.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced professionals at MPS or UPS levels.
