This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a inclusive school in Chelmsford, Essex, starting as soon as possible. You will lead a small class of primary-aged pupils, each with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), adapting the national curriculum to provide a tailored and enriching learning experience. This challenging yet highly rewarding role involves close collaboration with a dedicated team of teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure every pupil thrives. We are open to discussing various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or a permanent position, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £150 to £250, reflecting your experience and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver highly personalised and engaging lessons for pupils with diverse Special Educational Needs.
* Strategically adapt the national curriculum to meet the specific learning objectives outlined in EHCPs.
* Cultivate a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
* Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide integrated support.
* Diligently assess pupil progress, record achievements, and implement effective interventions.
* Maintain proactive and transparent communication with families regarding pupil development and aspirations.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience working with primary-aged pupils with SEN, making this role suitable for Early Career Teachers and experienced professionals alike.
* A strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and the effective implementation of EHCPs is essential.
