About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a supportive school on a long-term, permanent contract from 1st September 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT), a Main Pay Scale (MPS) teacher, or an Upper Pay Scale (UPS) teacher to cultivate a passion for language and literature amongst secondary pupils. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds, delivering stimulating lessons that encourage critical thinking and creative expression in English.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons across various secondary key stages.
* Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
* Differentiate learning activities to cater for a diverse range of student needs and abilities.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and challenging classroom environment that promotes active learning.
* Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum planning, resource development, and pedagogical best practice.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities, enriching students' experiences within the English subject area.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a degree in English or a related field.
* You demonstrate a profound passion for English language and literature, inspiring students with your enthusiasm.
* You are dedicated to ensuring every student reaches their full potential, fostering academic excellence.
* You exhibit excellent communication skills, building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* You possess strong classroom management techniques, creating an optimal learning atmosphere.
* You are a proactive and collaborative team member, eager to contribute positively to school life.
