We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our highly regarded school, a specialist provision supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in South West London. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to foster a positive learning environment, assisting pupils with emotional regulation and behavioural strategies to promote successful reintegration into their academic journeys. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £95 to £120, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Support secondary pupils in managing their social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement tailored behaviour support plans to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
* Guide pupils in developing effective emotional regulation strategies.
* Facilitate the successful reintegration of pupils into classroom activities and broader school life.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment, always upholding safeguarding policies.

* You possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.
* Demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a special educational needs setting is highly desirable.
