About the Role
A well-established school in the Billericay area is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This rewarding position involves delivering highly personalised support, helping the student access their curriculum and achieve their educational and personal goals. You will be instrumental in fostering independence and developing essential life skills, working closely with the student to implement their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. This long-term opportunity offers a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110, with various contract options including daily supply or a permanent placement for the right candidate, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Diligently implement and monitor the individual's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively promote the development of independence and self-help skills in all activities.
* Support the pupil in acquiring and refining essential life skills for future success.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and SENCO to ensure a cohesive support strategy.

About You
* You possess proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils with complex special educational needs.
* A strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical implementation is essential for this role.
* You demonstrate a genuine passion for fostering the development and well-being of young people.
* You are patient, resilient, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are committed to promoting independence and nurturing life skills in your supported pupil.
* You are adaptable and proactive, capable of responding effectively to diverse learning requirements.
