This vital role involves providing tailored support to pupils on the autism spectrum, helping them thrive within a structured educational environment. You will be instrumental in implementing effective structured routines, utilising appropriate sensory strategies, and facilitating clear communication support. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent opportunities, with a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialised support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum.
* Implement structured routines to create a predictable and calming environment.
* Utilise effective sensory strategies to support pupils' regulation and engagement.
* Facilitate and enhance communication through various methods tailored to individual needs.
* Assist in fostering pupils' social-emotional development and independence.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and therapists to support individual learning plans.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting primary pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly ASD.
* You demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience in a dynamic educational setting.
* You have previous experience working with children or young people with autism.
* You are proactive in developing and implementing effective support strategies.
* You are an excellent communicator, capable of building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
