This is an exceptional opportunity to join a flourishing school in Chelmsford, Essex, as an SEMH Teaching Assistant, working within a specialist provision for secondary pupils. You will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them navigate their educational journey. This position involves providing crucial behaviour support, fostering emotional regulation, and facilitating their successful reintegration into learning environments. We are open to discussing various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent arrangements, with an immediate start available for the right candidate, offering a competitive daily rate between £95 and £120.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils experiencing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
* Guide pupils in developing robust emotional regulation techniques.
* Assist with the successful reintegration of students back into mainstream or focused learning settings.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals within a dedicated specialist provision.
* Champion a safe and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued.

* You possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.
* You have prior experience working with secondary-aged students in a supportive capacity.
