Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted, individualised support to secondary students with ASD within a specialist setting.
* Actively facilitate the development of social communication skills through structured interventions.
* Skillfully manage and respond to students' sensory needs, creating a supportive learning environment.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff to ensure full and meaningful access to the curriculum.
* Implement bespoke strategies to promote independence and positive engagement in learning.
* Monitor and record student progress, contributing to ongoing assessments and planning.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to daily challenges.
* Have prior experience working with secondary-aged students in an SEN or educational setting.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
