About the Role
A respected school in Hertfordshire is seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join their specialist SEN team. This rewarding opportunity involves providing crucial support to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a dedicated ASD setting. You will play a vital role in facilitating social communication, effectively managing sensory needs, and ensuring full curriculum access for every student. We offer a range of flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent placements, with competitive daily rates.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary students with autism spectrum conditions.
* Facilitate effective social communication skills and promote positive interactions.
* Implement strategies to manage sensory needs within the learning environment.
* Assist students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Foster a nurturing and safe environment that encourages student well-being.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
* You have demonstrable experience working with young people on the autism spectrum, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* You exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effectively.
* You are patient, resilient, and possess a calm and understanding demeanour.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and able to respond to diverse student needs.
* A relevant qualification in education or SEN support is highly desirable.
