About the Role
A thriving school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial, personalised assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This pivotal role involves meticulously following Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, ensuring the pupil can fully access the curriculum, and actively fostering their independence and essential life skills within a supportive educational environment. This is an immediate opportunity offering various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, providing an excellent platform for a committed individual to make a significant difference every day.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke 1:1 support tailored to a secondary pupil with complex Special Educational Needs.
* Diligently implement strategies outlined within the pupil's individual Education, Health and Care Plan.
* Facilitate the pupil's effective access to a broad and balanced secondary curriculum.
* Actively promote the development of independence and self-reliance in daily learning and activities.
* Support the acquisition and refinement of essential life skills crucial for future success.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the SENCo to monitor progress and adapt support as necessary.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs, ideally at secondary level.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when facing diverse learning challenges.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding and ability to effectively implement EHCP provisions.
* Communicate clearly and sensitively with pupils, staff, and parents regarding pupil progress and needs.
* Show a profound commitment to fostering pupil well-being and maximising their academic and personal potential.
* Proactively seek opportunities to contribute positively to the school community and embrace new learning.
