Cover Supervisor

A highly regarded school is actively seeking resilient Cover Supervisors to maintain educational momentum and inspire pupil engagement. This crucial role involves stepping into diverse classroom settings across the curriculum, ensuring productive learning continues seamlessly in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be instrumental in upholding our high standards, fostering a positive atmosphere, and effectively managing classroom dynamics. We are recruiting for a variety of flexible contract options, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, and permanent positions, with an attractive daily rate of £145 - £160, for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Successfully supervise whole classes, delivering pre-set work during teacher absence.
* Proactively manage classroom behaviour, fostering a respectful and focused learning environment.
* Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups, facilitating continued pupil progress.
* Uphold the school’s behavioural policies consistently, ensuring pupil safety and well-being.
* Engage effectively with pupils to support their learning and address immediate needs.
* Provide concise feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson completion and pupil participation.
About You
* Possess strong leadership skills to command respect and motivate pupils.
* Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Thrive under pressure, maintaining composure and effectiveness in challenging situations.
* Have a proven ability to manage groups of young people effectively.
* Exhibit flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude towards new challenges.
* Hold relevant experience, ideally in a secondary school
