About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a ambitious school in Waltham Forest. This vital role involves supporting primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a specialist setting. You will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing environment, assisting with de-escalation strategies, providing crucial mentoring, and building strong, positive relationships with pupils to support their growth. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Skillfully implement de-escalation strategies during moments of heightened emotion.
* Mentor pupils individually and in small groups, promoting positive behaviour and self-regulation.
* Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with young learners, acting as a consistent point of support.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities, adapting approaches for diverse needs.
* Contribute proactively to the development and review of individual pupil support plans.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs
