About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking school, starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an individual passionate about inspiring secondary pupils through the diverse disciplines of DT. You will be instrumental in delivering engaging lessons across various material areas, fostering creativity and practical skills within a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality DT lessons across the secondary curriculum, catering to diverse learning needs.
* Inspire and motivate pupils to develop their understanding and practical application of Design & Technology principles.
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment, ensuring all equipment is used responsibly and effectively.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the DT curriculum, exploring innovative teaching strategies and resources.
* Actively participate in departmental meetings, school events, and the wider school community.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a strong passion for Design & Technology.
* You are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for an exceptional start to your career, or an experienced practitioner seeking a new challenge.
* You demonstrate excellent subject knowledge across a range of DT specialisms, including resistant materials, product design, or graphics.
* You possess a proven ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all pupils can thrive.
* You are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* You exhibit strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to professional development.
