This essential role involves maintaining a positive and productive classroom atmosphere in the absence of the regular teacher, facilitating student engagement with pre-set work. This position offers a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160 and provides remarkable flexibility with opportunities for Long Term, Daily Supply, Short Term, or even Permanent engagements, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise students effectively in the classroom, ensuring their safety and focus during lessons.
* Deliver pre-prepared work to students, clarifying tasks and expectations where necessary.
* Implement the school's behaviour policy consistently to maintain a calm and respectful learning environment.
* Provide appropriate support and guidance to students, responding to their questions and fostering independent learning.
* Encourage student participation and a positive attitude towards their studies.
* Communicate any significant issues or achievements regarding student conduct or progress to the relevant teaching staff.
About You
* Possess a confident and proactive approach to managing groups of young people.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building positive rapport with students.
* Show strong organisational abilities, including punctuality and reliability.
* Have a genuine commitment to supporting student learning and well-being.
* Exhibit resilience and adaptability when faced with varied classroom situations.
* Previous experience in a school or youth-focused setting is highly desirable.
