Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes during short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task with set work.
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment at all times.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to students, ensuring they understand the learning objectives.
• Respond promptly to any issues or incidents that arise, following school policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any relevant classroom observations.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour observed during cover.
About You
• Possess previous experience working with young people in an educational or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to command respect.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with students and staff.
• Are adaptable and resilient, comfortable working across different subject areas and age groups.
• Show a proactive attitude and a commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.
• Hold a genuine passion for education and fostering a productive learning atmosphere.
