About the Role
A highly regarded school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated PMLD Support Assistant to join its specialist provision for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties on a long-term, permanent contract. This challenging and incredibly rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the daily lives and developmental journeys of primary-aged children requiring bespoke support. You will contribute to a nurturing environment where every pupil's progress is celebrated, commencing as soon as possible with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive one-to-one and small group support to primary pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Assist with personal care routines, maintaining dignity and promoting independence where appropriate.
* Facilitate engaging sensory stimulation activities tailored to individual pupil needs and interests.
* Accurately implement bespoke therapy programmes, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to ongoing assessment and planning.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment at all times.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children or young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Exhibit exceptional empathy, patience, and resilience when facing complex challenges.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with pupils, staff, and external professionals.
* Hold a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable pupils.
* Be a proactive and adaptable team player, eager to contribute to a collaborative setting.
