About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. This pivotal role involves fostering a nurturing environment where the pupil can thrive, offering bespoke support to meet their individual requirements. We are looking for an individual who is ready to make an immediate impact, with opportunities available for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support, nurturing a strong and positive relationship with the pupil.
* Effectively implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets and strategies.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and professionals to integrate specialist interventions.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement in all aspects of the primary curriculum and school life.
* Promote the development of independence, communication, and social skills.
* Monitor and record progress, providing constructive feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
* An understanding of various communication strategies and sensory processing needs is highly valued.
* You are an empathetic and patient individual, committed to the holistic development of every child.
* The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families is essential.
* You are proactive in implementing tailored support plans and adapting to individual learning styles.
* A genuine passion for making a significant difference in a pupil's educational journey defines your approach.
