About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join a respected school within the vibrant educational landscape of Northamptonshire. This long-term, permanent position, commencing on 1st September 2026, involves delivering engaging and inspiring DT lessons across the secondary phase. You will contribute to a dynamic department, fostering creativity and practical skills in students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver innovative and challenging Design Technology lessons to secondary students.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment within classrooms and workshops.
* Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
* Participate actively in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives.
* Foster a genuine passion for design and practical application among all pupils.

About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Design Technology.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for your subject and its application in real-world contexts.
* Be an enthusiastic and inspiring educator, capable of motivating diverse learners.
* Show excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress.
* Exhibit a strong understanding of current pedagogical approaches in secondary education.
* Be a collaborative team player with effective communication abilities.
