We have a fantastic primary school in Bedford that is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional committed to fostering student growth and creating an engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic lessons that motivate and challenge Year 6 pupils.
  • Provide a balanced curriculum that promotes both academic achievement and personal development.
  • Prepare students for their end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs), ensuring high standards of progress and achievement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, offering constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enrich the educational journey of all pupils.
  • Actively participate in whole-school events, extra-curricular activities, and staff meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2 is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • A genuine passion for developing children's confidence, resilience, and love for learning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour.
  • Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to engaging with parents and the wider school community.
