Dunbar Education is excited to partner with a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in Radlett, Hertfordshire. This school is dedicated to providing a stimulating learning environment that nurtures the potential of every child and we are currently seeking a passionate and innovative Year 1 Teacher to join their team for two school terms starting in January 2025.

Role Overview: As a Year 1 Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage young learners, fostering a love for learning in a supportive classroom setting. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure effective support for all learners.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and encourage a positive classroom culture.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 1.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and early years education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
