We are working with a Ofsted 'Good' Primary School in Watford to find a suitable and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join full-time.

Responsibilities:

As a Year 1 teacher, you will play an important role in creating lessons, engaging the pupils and extending their academic skills over the course of the year. The pupils will be looking at you to create a safe space for them and ensure you are giving them high-quality lessons.

Main Parts of the role:

  • Delivering Lessons in all subjects up too a high standard.
  • Giving effective feedback to the students throughout and relay to the parents (reflect on progress).
  • Safeguarding (Highly important) and knowing how to create a safe space for the pupil. Acknowledging and reporting when you notice something.
  • Creating plans for the lessons and participating in schools' events/extracurricular to extend work experience.

Requirements:

  • 6 Months Plus experience in Teaching
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
