Teaching Assistant (Speech and Language) - Full-Time, Term Time Only
Large Four-Form Entry Primary School - Aylesbury

Are you passionate about supporting children's communication and language development? Do you have experience working with young learners and a strong understanding of speech and language needs?

We are working for a stellar school looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Speech and Language Specialist) to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Aylesbury. This is a full-time, term-time only position supporting children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

About the Role:

  • Provide targeted support to children with speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external speech and language therapists to implement interventions.
  • Support children in both one-to-one and small group settings to develop their communication skills.
  • Assist in creating and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where appropriate.

About You:

  • Relevant qualifications in speech and language support, education, or SEN (e.g., ELKLAN, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a school or specialist setting.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
