Teaching Assistant-behaviour Support

We are currently seeking a teaching assistant to embark on an enriching journey in a Ofstead reated Good school in Northampton. As a vital member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing and supporting pupils in a multicultural environment whilst empowering them to thrive academically and personally.

As a successful Teaching Assistant, you will need to confidently manage triggers and challenging behavior, build positive rapport, and adapt your teaching style to meet the childrens individual learning needs

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those with additional needs.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities and materials.
  • Support students' social and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and other school-related activities.
  • Requirements:

  • 6 Months UK experience working as a TA in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • DBS check or willingness to undergo a DBS check
