SEN Teacher/Tutor

Role Overview :

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher/Tutor in Towcester to become part of our team in a SEN Secondary School. In this position, you will offer personalised 1:1 support and guidance to students aged 11-16, encouraging their involvement in the learning process and helping them achieve their specific goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilites :

  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide 1:1 support to enhance pupil engagement.
  • Ensure a personalized and inclusive learning experience.
  • Develop and implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Set clear learning targets based on prior attainment.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for progress.
  • Manage and address behavior challenges effectively.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
  • Stay updated on SEN education developments and best practices.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • At least 6 months of UK SEN experience.
  • Passion for working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Commitment to full-time term-time work.
