Dunbar Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a reputable non-selective state school in Wantage, Oxfordshire, for a dedicated and passionate full-time English Teacher to join their team starting September 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
- Develop and implement a broad, balanced, and inclusive English curriculum.
- Monitor and support the academic and personal development of students.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-level examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work, resources, and assessments.
- Participate actively in the school's performance management and professional development programmes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level, preferably up to A-level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
