Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English Literature and Language instruction to students up to Key Stage 5 (KS5). We are looking for an innovative educator who can inspire and engage students through a diverse range of teaching methodologies and creative approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English Literature and Language across all key stages, with a focus on KS5.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs and abilities of all students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience within the department.
- Participate in the school's extracurricular activities and events to promote student engagement and school spirit.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, particularly at KS5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for literature and the ability to inspire students.
- Previous experience teaching in an independent school setting is desirable but not essential.
