Location: South East Buckinghamshire
School Type: Independent Boys' School
Salary: £33,000 - £52,000 per annum (Bespoke Pay Scale)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English Literature and Language instruction to students up to Key Stage 5 (KS5). We are looking for an innovative educator who can inspire and engage students through a diverse range of teaching methodologies and creative approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English Literature and Language across all key stages, with a focus on KS5.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs and abilities of all students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience within the department.
  • Participate in the school's extracurricular activities and events to promote student engagement and school spirit.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, particularly at KS5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for literature and the ability to inspire students.
  • Previous experience teaching in an independent school setting is desirable but not essential.
