Salary: £130 - £180

Dunbar Education is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual to provide vital support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Individual Support: Work closely with students who have special educational needs, providing tailored assistance to ensure they can access the curriculum and succeed in their studies.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support the class teacher in managing classroom behavior and implementing effective teaching strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the progress of students, ensuring that their educational and developmental needs are being met.
  • Resource Development: Create and adapt learning materials to cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Liaison: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).



Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, specifically within an SEN setting, is essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or child development are preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and creative approach to problem-solving and learning.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN.
