SEN Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Nursery Support Assistant seeking a fulfilling role in Kettering?

We are looking for dedicated individuals to provide 1:1 support to a child in Reception who requires Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) support and help with personal care and detachment from parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a UK Nursery Assistant or SEN TA with 1:1 support, especially in EYFS.
  • Knowledge of SLCN support and early years education.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (non-negotiable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child who is not yet "school ready," focusing on improving speech and communication through Phonics (using RWI/PECS).
  • Support the child in early years' play-based learning activities, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist with personal care as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and professionals to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the child's development.

Location: This position is based in Kettering, allowing you to contribute to the local community by supporting young learners on their educational journey.
