Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Primary School, Corby, UK

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview:

We seek a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate with school staff to support SEN students, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to SEN students in both group and one-on-one settings.
  • Assist in planning and delivering customized learning activities.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and document student progress, offering feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting.
  • 6 months plus experience working in a UK Primary School.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (Must).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are preferred but not essential.
  • The ability to work in a team.
