SEN Specialist Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Do you want to make a real difference in a warm, inclusive, and vibrant primary school community?
We are seeking a SEN Specialist Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a diverse and welcoming school, located on the boundary of Blackbird Leys and Littlemore in South Oxford. The school provides a high-quality, rich, and experiential curriculum for pupils of all faiths and backgrounds, ensuring every child is supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
The Role:
As a SEN Specialist LSA, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, and other learning difficulties.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored support plans.
- Help create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Use strategies and interventions to aid communication and learning.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ, or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
