Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: SEN School, Bedford
Salary: £18,000 - £23,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: October 2024

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers and staff to maintain effective communication and foster teamwork.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons by planning activities and organizing learning resources.
- Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
- Provide one-on-one or small group academic assistance to pupils as needed.
- Develop and implement tailored strategies to help students with special educational needs.
- Offer pastoral care, manage challenging behavior, and promote positive social interactions among students.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the school's curriculum and the development of its policies.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience as an HLTA in the UK.
- Must be a car user (Non-negotiable)
- Experience working in schools, preferably as a HLTA or similar role.
- Good understanding of SEN, especially SEMH.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage requirements for SEN students.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service.
