Role Overview:

As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for learners with diverse emotional and social needs. You will develop tailored lesson plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and provide individualised support to help learners overcome challenges. Your expertise will not only enhance their academic journey but also promote their emotional well-being, resilience, and social skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH learners.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, support staff and external professionals to provide holistic support.
  • Utilize creative teaching strategies to inspire and motivate learners.

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience working with SEMH children.
  • QTS(Qualified Teacher Status) preferred but not required.
  • A strong understanding of mental health challenges and trauma-informed practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to teaching.
