SEN Education Role for Psychology or Criminology Graduates

Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Educator
Location: Tower Hamlets
Start Date: September 2024
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Overview: We are seeking passionate and committed Psychology or Criminology graduates eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with autism, social-emotional mental health needs, or other additional needs. This role offers the opportunity to provide tailored support in both 1:1 and group settings, fostering a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and interventions for children and young people with SEN.
  • Assist in developing and implementing personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or Criminology completed by September 2024.
  • A strong interest in working with children and young people with autism, social-emotional mental health needs, or other additional needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for a career in teaching and SEN education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.
