The Role:
As a PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching to classes across various year groups, ensuring that students remain engaged, motivated, and learning effectively. You will be covering for class teachers during their PPA time, delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, and supporting pupils' individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging lessons based on the provided planning.
- Managing classroom behavior effectively and creating a positive learning environment.
- Supporting the individual needs of students, ensuring inclusive practices.
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress during the lessons.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions between lessons.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 1 and 2.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Passionate about making a difference in children's education.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working as a PPA cover teacher or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and current teaching practices.
