About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in the Telford area. The school is looking for an educator who can inspire students and foster a love for languages such as French, Spanish, or German. This role involves engaging students in both linguistic and cultural understanding, preparing them with the skills and knowledge to excel in MFL.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching: Teach French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Lesson Planning: Create dynamic lesson plans that focus on language acquisition, grammar, and cultural knowledge, ensuring lessons are interactive and enjoyable.
- Assessment & Progress Tracking: Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing targeted support to help them achieve their best.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the MFL department to develop engaging resources and share best practices to enrich the language curriculum.
- Classroom Environment: Establish a positive, inclusive environment that motivates students to participate actively and build confidence in their language skills.
About You
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience seen as a plus. You should have a genuine passion for languages and a commitment to engaging students and fostering their appreciation for diverse cultures.
