Role Overview:
We are looking for a committed and talented Geography Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students across Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially 5. The role offers flexibility, as it can be tailored to the candidate's career aspirations. If you are an experienced and ambitious Geography Teacher, there may be an opportunity for you to take on the role of Head of Geography. Alternatively, if you prefer to focus purely on teaching, the position can remain as a classroom teacher.

Key Responsibilities (as a Classroom Teacher or Head of Geography):

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and possibly Key Stage 5.
  • Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback and support for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and ensure it remains current and relevant.
  • Foster a passion for Geography and help students to appreciate its importance in understanding the world around them.
  • For Head of Geography candidates: Lead and manage the Geography department, providing support and guidance to colleagues.
  • For Head of Geography candidates: Develop strategies for improving student outcomes and ensuring high standards across the department.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Geography Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Geography, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • For Head of Geography candidates: Previous leadership experience in a school or a proven track record of success in the classroom.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
