Salary: £150 - £180 per day, depending on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join a unique SEN Teacher that can caters to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work with students who require a non-judgmental and supportive approach to education.This is a contract role with designated off days throughout the year, but please note that there are no traditional term holidays.
Role Overview:
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping students who face significant challenges in their educational journey. The environment is different from a typical school setting, providing a structured and supportive atmosphere that focuses on the holistic development of each student. Your safety and well-being are paramount, and you will be part of a collaborative team where everyone contributes to planning, ensuring that no additional work is required outside of school hours.You will be working with students aged 11-17 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored Math lessons to students with SEN needs.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to create a safe and structured learning environment.
- Focus on managing challenging behaviours and supporting the emotional well-being of students.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) that address the specific needs of each student.
Requirements:
- Experience teaching Mathematics, with a focus on supporting students with SEN needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, with a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental approach to teaching.
- While a PGCE and QTS are not required, we welcome applications from former teachers who have relevant experience as a teacher in this field.
