English Teacher (Functional Skills) - SEN Provision
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Qualifications: QTS desired but not essential

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated English Teacher with Functional Skills experience to join our specialist provision in Milton Keynes, supporting students aged 11-19.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging Functional Skills English lessons tailored to the needs of students with diverse learning needs.
  • Support learners in building confidence and essential communication skills.
  • Differentiate and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual EHCP targets.
  • Work as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team to provide holistic education.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

About You:

  • Experience in teaching Functional Skills English (Entry Level to Level 2).
  • A passion for working with SEN students and supporting their personal and academic development.
  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • QTS is desired but not essential - we welcome applications from experienced instructors or unqualified teachers with relevant experience.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
