Dunbar Education is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Long-Term Supply Teachers to join our team in supporting various secondary schools within Northampton and Northamptonshire. Role Overview:
The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Long-Term Supply Teachers may be required to cover a specific or a variety of subjects and year groups, depending on the needs of the school, the specific role and the individuals specialism and flexibility. Roles can continue on a supply basis but can also transform into permanent positions, for those who are looking for this option. Most long-term supply positions do require full-teaching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Follow the school's policies and procedures, including lesson planning and assessment
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide continuity in students' learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of UK education-based experience
- UK Based Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (Desirable)
- Valid safeguarding certification (Desirable)
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
