KS1 Teacher - Hatfield

Position: KS1 Teacher
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS, up to M6 (Pro Rata) based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and engaging lessons that inspire KS1 pupils
  • Provide a well-rounded curriculum that promotes both academic progress and personal growth
  • Support pupils in achieving success in their end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs)
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to fulfil their potential
  • Regularly monitor and assess pupil progress, offering constructive feedback to aid their development
  • Work collaboratively with fellow staff, teaching assistants, and parents to enhance the educational experience
  • Contribute to whole-school activities, extra-curricular events, and staff meetings

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum, with particular focus on literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to adapt teaching to accommodate the varied needs of pupils
  • A passion for inspiring confidence, resilience, and a love of learning in children
  • Excellent classroom management and a commitment to maintaining high behavioural standards
  • Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Capacity to provide two years' worth of references
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to working with parents and the wider school community
