Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our committed team in Rushden. In this role, you will be essential in supporting our teaching staff to provide high-quality education to our students. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assist pupils with special educational needs, and contribute to the overall growth of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, including preparing resources and materials
  • Work with small groups of pupils or individually to provide additional support with learning
  • Assist with the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with special educational needs
  • Provide pastoral support to pupils, including managing behaviour and promoting positive relationships
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage expectations.
  • Enhanced CHILD DBS on the update service (MUST).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work work collaboratively with school staff.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
