Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Outstanding Junior School in Reading
Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to join an OFSTED-rated Outstanding school? We are a one-form entry junior school (Years 3-6) in Reading, recently awarded Best School in Reading, and we are seeking a dedicated HLTA to join our exceptional team.
About the Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across Years 3-6. You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide small group interventions, and cover classes when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver small group interventions to support pupil progress
- Provide classroom cover across Years 3-6 in the absence of the teacher
- Support the class teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with assessment and feedback to help track pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain the school's high standards of education
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant working towards HLTA status
- Experience supporting KS2 pupils (Years 3-6)
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for helping children achieve their full potential
