Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Leicester

The Role:

In this HLTA role, you'll provide essential support to both students and teachers. You'll take on classroom leadership in the absence of the teacher, lead focused interventions, and deliver personalised support to students who need additional guidance. Your work will have a direct impact on their educational journey and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Step in to deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
  • Lead targeted group interventions and support individual students as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and monitoring of individual learning plans.
  • Provide 1:1 support for students with specific learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
  • Track students' development and offer valuable feedback to staff and parents.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience working in a school environment, ideally as an HLTA or experienced TA.
  • Confidence in managing groups and delivering lessons.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Strong teamworking and communication skills.
  • Adaptability to work across different classrooms and year groups.
