Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Daventry
Salary: £110 - £130
Start Date: October 2024

Role Overview:
Are you a skilled HLTA passionate about aiding students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges?

We are partnering with a committed school in Daventry that is looking for a qualified SEN HLTA to provide crucial assistance to a small group of students. This long-term, full-time position involves working closely with classroom teachers to foster a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an HLTA, especially with students who have SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and special educational needs environments
  • Proven capability to manage challenging behaviors and build rapport with students and staff
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Confidence in leading classroom activities and assisting teaching staff
