Position: Head of Science
Location: Oakham
Contract Type: [Full-Time/Permanent]

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement a challenging and inclusive Science curriculum for students aged 11-18
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, with a focus on raising attainment
  • Provide support and professional development to Science staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement whole-school strategies

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Science to students aged 11-18
  • Proven track record of raising attainment in Science
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Previous experience as a Head of Science is beneficial
  • Experience working in a SEN school is desirable and will enhance the candidate's application
