First Aid Admin Lead

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum

Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated First Aid Admin Lead to join a prestigious school in High Wycombe. In this role, you will oversee the medical room and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff. Key responsibilities include managing first aid provision, maintaining health records, and providing essential support for school trips and events. Your role will also involve advising on health and safety matters, communicating effectively with parents and staff, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the medical room and provide care for sick, injured, and distressed individuals.
  • Manage the safe storage and administration of medication.
  • Monitor and record the health status of pupils and develop school care plans.
  • Sit on the health and safety committee and contribute to policy development.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to pupils on various issues including mental health and child protection concerns.
  • Maintain medical confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies.
  • Manage resources such as first aid kits and ensure they meet regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate school trips and external visits, ensuring staff are briefed on health needs and emergency procedures.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health-related issues and emergency first aid.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including school events and reception duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational or healthcare setting.
  • First Aid qualifications and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge.
