Location: Walnut Tree / Brooklands Farm, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: Permanent Placement (Starting January)
Salary: Leadership Scale
Hours: Full-time, Standard Teaching Hours with Full Teaching Responsibilities

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Key Stage Leader - Maths to join our school in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis, starting in January. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher with a passion for Mathematics and strong leadership skills, ready to guide and support both students and staff across a specific Key Stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the teaching and learning of Maths within your designated Key Stage, ensuring the curriculum is delivered to a high standard.
  • Manage and support a team of Maths teachers, fostering collaboration and ensuring best practices are shared and implemented.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress and use data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve student outcomes in Maths and contribute to raising the overall standard of Mathematics teaching across the school.
  • Support the development and implementation of school policies and contribute to the school's strategic goals.
  • Organize and lead extra-curricular Maths-related activities, competitions, and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and extensive experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team or department.
  • A track record of improving student outcomes in Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
  • Experience in curriculum planning and delivery at Key Stage 3, 4, or 5.
