We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Lead Teacher to join an inclusive and forward-thinking school in Kings Langley. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to lead and inspire students, working within a supportive and well-structured environment.

About the School: This school is an 11-18 all-ability, co-educational institution that prides itself on offering a welcoming and stimulating learning environment. With excellent facilities and high-quality teaching, students receive an outstanding education from their very first day.

What the School Offers:

  • A professional and supportive approach to performance management, focusing on coaching rather than high-stakes lesson observations.

  • A no-lesson grading policy, reinforcing a culture where feedback is free and used with empathy to support professional growth.

  • A clear and consistently applied behaviour system, enabling teachers to focus on delivering high-quality teaching.

  • Centralised detentions, homework prep time, and rewards processes, reducing administrative burdens on teaching staff.

  • A large pastoral team to support students throughout the school day.

  • Structured lesson starts with "quick start" protocols, ensuring students enter lessons in an orderly and prompt manner.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience in leading English at secondary level

  • A passion for English literature and language

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning

If you are an experienced English teacher looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and progressive environment, we would love to hear from you.
