Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Drama Teacher to join our creative team on a maternity cover contract starting after May Half Term 2025.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Drama Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students' creative development while working within a supportive and collaborative department. The maternity cover is expected to last until the return of the permanent teacher, providing a full-time teaching role within a friendly and highly regarded school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Drama to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, creating engaging and innovative lessons.
  • Foster a passion for the arts and encourage students to express themselves creatively.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular Drama clubs and productions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Creative Arts department to ensure the continued success of the department.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and encourage a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Drama Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Passionate about Drama and the arts, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, positive environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to contribute to extra-curricular activities, including school productions.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
