We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Drama Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Drama to enthusiastic students across a range of age groups. The ideal candidate will have a creative and engaging approach to teaching, alongside a dedication to helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative Drama lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Foster a love of performing arts and creativity in students
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching and learning
- Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, including drama productions and clubs
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified teacher with a degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related subject
- Have experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting (KS3 & KS4)
- Be passionate about theatre and able to inspire students
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
- Show flexibility, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for working with young people
